"The luminescent qualities of glass as it responds to light appeal to me. I am drawn to the potential of a material that can vary from translucent to opaque in a brilliant range of colors and gradations."

Leonoff Art Glass was founded by Nick Leonoff in Carmel Valley, California in 2005. Nick’s journey with glass began as an apprentice to a local stained glass artist, Alan Masaoka, in 1998. After graduating from Pepperdine University with a degree in Business Administration, Nick found his passion for glassblowing. He has studied at numerous craft schools including the Pilchuck Glass School, Haystack Crafts School, Pittsburgh Glass Center, and the Studio at Corning to hone his skills.

In 2011, he moved his studio to Brooklyn, NY to further pursue his artistic endeavors. During his time in New York, Nick was a visiting artist at the Museum of Art and Design and exhibited in a variety of art shows across the country. His glasswork is highly regarded with numerous honors including awards of excellence from the American Crafts Council, The Philadelphia Art Museum Craft Show, and the Smithsonian Craft Show.

Nick returned to Carmel Valley, CA in 2017 to expand his own gallery and studio spaces. Nick and his team create a wide selection of art glass pieces ranging from functional vessels and lighting, to highly collected decorative objects and sculptures.
